Description:
Unity Day is a national day when students, teachers, and families wear orange to show they support bullying prevention. In this activity, students explore what unity means and collaborate in pairs on posters that show how working together can help stop bullying. Posters are then hung throughout the school.
Students explore and understand what unity means.
Students create posters that promote uniting against bullying.
Students practice empathy and collaboration by working together in pairs.
Materials
Poster board or large paper (one sheet per pair)
Markers, crayons, and colored pencils (lots of orange!)
Whiteboard or chart paper for brainstorm
Tape or push pins for hanging posters
