Use this calendar as a guide throughout the school year with lesson planning and professional development
Relationship Building- Being able to make and keep friends, work well with others, and show kindness and respect
Self control- Being able to pause, think, and make good choices — even when you feel strong emotions
Problem solving-Finding fair, kind, and smart ways to fix problems or disagreements
Empathy- Understanding how someone else feels and showing you care through your words and actions
Self confidence- Believing in yourself — knowing your strengths, trying your best, and feeling proud of who you are
PD Process
Prepare
Content PD- Review slides and facilitator notes (see below), gather materials and set up the space
Lesson study- Select lesson based on feedback from staff. Create slides using template, gather materials and set up the space.
Facilitate
Content PD- Use the slides and notes to facilitate the PD. Manager will observe during the PD (facilitation rubric). Gather feedback at end of PD from participants (feedback form)
Lesson study-Use the slides and discuss the lesson. Take notes during the PD and share with manager.
Reflect
Content PD- Review feedback from participants, complete facilitator self reflection, meet with manager to review and discuss feedback (facilitator reflection rubric)
Lesson study- Review notes from PD and meet with manager to discuss.
