Description:
In groups of three, students select recycled materials from a shared bag and collaboratively build a piece of art that represents one of their community values, then present their artwork to the class explaining how the materials embody that value before displaying it as a hallway installation.
Materials
Recycled materials (cereal boxes, toilet paper rolls, clean food containers, etc. — collect over time or have students bring 5 items each from home)
Tape
Glue
Staplers (use age-appropriate types)
Markers
Embellishments: glitter glue, ribbon, fabric scraps, buttons
A wall or hallway space to display the final installation
