Using Dr. Seuss’s The Sneetches as a starting point, students explore what it feels like to be left out, how groups create “in” and “out” categories, and how to build fairer practices in their own community.
Introduce the topic of equality and the practice of being nonjudgmental.
Build awareness of discrimination and its impact on belonging.
Empower students to imagine and create fair practices in their own lives.

Animated story of The Sneetches (or the book by Dr. Seuss)

Paper and crayons or markers
Optional simulation: green star/dot stickers or washable markers
