Super Me: I Can Do Hard Things

Description:
Students will identify personal strengths and parts of their identity (culture, family, interests, talents, values) as sources of confidence rather than obstacles. Students will write and share a "My identity is a superpower because..." statement and recognize how positive self-talk and self-knowledge support confidence.
Materials
Chart paper titled "Our Superpowers" and markers
Sticky notes or index cards (one per student)
Pencils
Optional: short clip from America Ferrera's TED Talk "My identity is a superpower, not an obstacle" (first 2–3 minutes) and a projector; optional self-talk sorting handout.
