Garden of Greatness

Description:
Each child makes their own paper flower with a picture of themselves in the center and one talent written on each petal. All the flowers come together to form a class "Garden of Greatness" on the wall—a visible reminder that every child brings something to the room.
Notice and name things they're good at.
Learn the word "talent" and what self-esteem means.
See their own flower as part of a bigger garden—everyone matters.
Materials
Pre-cut flower shapes for each child (one circle center + 4–6 petals, OR a single flower outline)—save lesson time by cutting these in advance
Construction paper in lots of colors
Pencils, markers, crayons—include skin-tone markers/crayons
Child safety scissors (for any kids who want to cut extra petals)
Glue sticks
A pre-made example flower of your own to show students
Wall space or a large piece of butcher paper to make the class garden
