The Great Egg Drop

Description:
In groups of three, students will use a bag of limited materials to engineer a contraption that protects a raw egg, then test their designs by dropping them from a second-floor window to see whose egg survives intact.
Materials
For each group, a paper bag containing:
1 sheet of newspaper
5 popsicle sticks
2 pieces of paper
1 balloon
1 plastic spoon and fork
2 paper plates
6 drinking straws
1 empty water bottle (24 oz. or less)
Tape and glue
1 small Ziploc bag
1 plastic or Styrofoam cup
10 toothpicks
One unbroken raw egg in its shell for each group.
