Chain of Compliments

Description:

Students will learn what a compliment is, practice giving compliments to classmates, and notice how compliments can make a person feel valued. The class will build a paper chain of compliments together.

  • Recognize how compliments can make a person feel valued.

  • Practice giving and receiving compliments.

  • Notice and name things they themselves are good at.

Materials

  • "Chain of Compliments" handout (one per student)

  • Tape or glue

  • Safety scissors

  • Art supplies: pens, markers, crayons

  • A wall or string to display the finished chain

  • Lesson plan
