Pineapple Investigations

Description:
Through investigating a pineapple, students will engage in sensory exploration, problem solving, creative thinking, language development, and beginning science concepts.
Materials
• Fresh pineapple
• Black plastic bag (to hide the pineapple)
• Chart paper and marker
• Knife (for facilitator use only)
• Small plates or napkins for tasting
• Medium-size planting pot
• Pebbles or gravel, sand, soil
• Water
• Plastic bag to cover the planted pot
